- Do I need a PayPal account to purchase from this store?
No, you are not required to have a PayPal account to purchase from this store. Although if you already have a PayPal account you may use it.
- Q. Why are some belts ‘aged’ and some ‘vintage’?
A. Because we like the best of both! There are some beautiful leathers out there and we like to make sure we've got the best. So, when we find a new leather we think will make a striking pair with one of our buckles, we work with our suppliers to age it to Pipetto standards of quality and uniqueness.
- Q. What is the difference between ‘aged’ and ‘vintage’ belts?
A. Aged belts undergo a natural process that weathers them and bleeds the dye, giving new leathers a marbled and authentic worn-in look. Our vintage belts are all similar, genuine pieces from the 60s, 70s or 80s.
- Q. How long will my item(s) take to arrive?
A. Generally, we try and ship all products out within 1-2 days. Depending on delivery address, standard delivery times are as follows:
UK, Channel Islands and N.I (allow 2-3 days for delivery)
R.O.I (allow 3-5 days for delivery)
Europe (allow 3-7 days for delivery)
Rest of World (allow 3-7 days for delivery)
If for any reason there is a delay in shipping, we’ll email you to let you know the progress of your order.- Q. What are the buckles made of?
A. The buckles are die cast with a number 7 zinc, which is good for plating. On top of the zinc is a coat of copper, then nickel, and finally chrome. Once the metals are done, they’re painted, buffed and then polished to get that lovely shiny finish you see.
- Q. I saw a Limited Edition belt that I loved but got away! Help!?
A. Dear oh dear... if I had a pound... Generally speaking, we can’t do much. There are very few of the limited editions available because of the bespoke nature of one or more of the components. You can email us with a request and we’ll do our best to find you one - but chances are slim you’ll see it again.
- Q. What if you’re out-of-stock when I order?
A. We take a lot of pride in getting our products right. Sometimes, the process of getting handmade buckles or Italian imported leathers for our cases takes slightly longer due to the nature of the materials. If, for any reason, we do not have an item in stock or there is a delay in shipping, we will notify you with an expected delivery date and explanation. We try our best to get all products out within 1-2 days, but occasionally a product may take a little longer if it’s being handmade to the perfect size and style.
- Q. Do you do expedited and/or International shipping?
A. Yes. If you have special delivery requirements, please let us know and we will always do our best to accommodate.
- Q. Will you give my mailing list information to anyone else?
A. Not a chance. Here at Pipetto, we believe in the golden rule (and let’s be honest… no one likes spam.)
